A human and sporting adventure!
This weekend saw the Lekkarod, a sled dog race organized by Dominique Grandjean.
For the past two years, all of ELEMENT VET's logistics have been handled by an ESAT (Establishment and Service for Aid through Work), where we employ 15 people with disabilities. We embarked on this human adventure because our brand is deeply committed to:
- social inclusion
- made in France (Alps)
- eco-friendly packaging
- natural composition
A weekend full of emotion with this tandem para-sport race. Fabien, who has a disability, and I participated for 2 days in the Lekkarod in Bessans. Two days with a mass start (line start) just like the able-bodied participants!
This year, we carried out a comprehensive project with our workshop. I suggested this race to Fabien last year, and he immediately loved the idea. I introduced him to the dogs, and we trained in Chamrousse, then the big weekend arrived.
On Saturday, other ESAT employees came to cheer us on with their educators, and this Sunday, I finally met Fabien's family.
Over time, we've built a real relationship, and his family truly moved me by thanking me and telling me that what I had offered Fabien was unimaginable! But for us, we just had a blast with friends 😎
