Water is vital for all dogs. It makes up approximately 60-70% of their body weight and plays a crucial role in the proper functioning of their organism.
Proper hydration specifically allows for:
- The proper functioning of organs (kidneys, liver, heart)
- The regulation of body temperature, especially during exertion or in hot weather
- Joint lubrication
- Efficient digestion and proper elimination of toxins
Dogs at risk: seniors and athletes
Elderly dogs may lose their sensation of thirst or develop chronic conditions (kidney failure, arthritis) that increase their water needs.
Athletic dogs (working dogs, agility dogs, or very active dogs) lose a lot of water and electrolytes through panting and sweating from their paw pads. If they do not properly replenish these losses, they risk dehydration, muscle fatigue, and even heatstroke.
Our ELEMENT Vet Rehydration formula has been specially designed to help dogs stay hydrated, energetic, and healthy:
✅ Stimulation of water intake: its palatable taste encourages the dog to drink more
✅ Formula adapted to the needs of elderly or active dogs, supporting their recovery after exertion or periods of heat
✅ Joint and muscle support, ideal for aging dogs or those undergoing intensive training

My routine:
🐕 Before starting the activity with my dog, I prepare their rehydration soup: water, a sachet of solution, and if needed, a few kibbles to enhance the taste;
🐺 I go for my training;
🐕🦺 As soon as my session ends, I praise them, let them off leash so they can walk and enjoy this active recovery;
🐺 I give them their recovery soup within 20 minutes.
With my senior dogs, I dissolve a sachet of solution in their meal every morning.
