How to massage your dog?
Chosen by veterinary physiotherapists
Our gel is sold by vets who practise physiotherapy, and they use it during their massage sessions at the clinic. The same gel you can use at home, between sessions or after exercise.
A very fluid texture that truly penetrates
Unlike a massage oil, its very fluid consistency does not stay on the surface: it goes through the coat, even long or thick, and reaches the skin, where the massage works. It does not stick or soil the coat: your dog can set off again straight away.
Relaxation and recovery after exercise
Canicross, sledding, agility, hunting, competitions or horse work: after exercise, a massage with the gel contributes to the relaxation of worked muscles and supports recovery. With Réhydratation and the repair balm, it makes up our Cure chien sportif.
Massaging the older dog
With age, muscles stiffen. Veterinary physiotherapists use massage with older or arthritic dogs; our gel supports this massage, without replacing your vet’s follow-up. A real moment of well-being, which many dogs look forward to.
Very fluid arnica massage gel, for dogs and horses
After a race, an agility session, a working day or simply with age, muscles tighten. The ELEMENT VET massage gel, with 30% arnica extract, supports the massage of your dog or horse: a moment of relaxation, recovery and closeness.
Who is it for, and when
- sporting or working dogs, after training, racing or a day’s hunting;
- older or arthritic dogs, alongside your vet’s follow-up;
- horses, after work or competition;
- all dogs, for a moment of relaxation and closeness.
Composition: arnica extract, calendula extract, aloe extract, essential oils of eucalyptus, wintergreen, lavender and cinnamon. For external use. Made in France.
Sizes: 150 ml bottle, or 500 ml for packs, stables and clubs.
The massage gel is also part of the Cure chien sportif.
How to use
Apply a small amount of gel to healthy skin, then massage gently in circular movements until absorbed.
Repeat several times a day if needed, after exercise or for a moment of relaxation.
For external use: avoid contact with the eyes and wash your hands after application.
Precautions for use
- For dogs and horses only: not suitable for cats (essential oils, including wintergreen).
- Apply to healthy skin, not to a wound.
- Stop your animal licking the massaged area until the gel has absorbed (about fifteen minutes): arnica and essential oils must not be swallowed.
- Competition animals: wintergreen contains a salicylate; check your discipline’s anti-doping rules before an event.

Pro tip
I use our massage gel to relax my dogs after hard efforts and at races. I really enjoy massaging them, especially the older ones: they love it! At the end of this soothing moment, many of them fall asleep, fully trusting.

Our ingredients
Arnica
A yellow-flowered mountain plant, traditionally used in massage products after exercise. It is the gel’s main ingredient, as an extract.
Calendula
Pot marigold, an emblematic skincare plant, for its softening and soothing properties. It accompanies arnica in the formula.
Aloe
Used in cosmetics for thousands of years, aloe vera moisturises and soothes the skin during the massage, without leaving a greasy film. It complements calendula in the formula.
Eucalyptus
An essential oil from eucalyptus leaves, which brings a feeling of freshness and well-being during the massage.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon essential oil, at very low concentration, which brings a feeling of warmth and a spicy note to the gel. It complements eucalyptus and wintergreen.
Wintergreen
An essential oil traditionally used in massage products after exercise, for its feeling of freshness. It contains a salicylate: not suitable for cats.
Lavender
Lavender essential oil, the emblem of Provence, for its gentle, soothing scent, which makes the massage a true moment of relaxation.
