Put together with first-aid trainer vets
Its contents were chosen on the advice of vets who teach canine first aid. The essentials, nothing superfluous: everything to clean, protect, bandage, remove a tick or a splinter, and keep your dog warm while you wait for the vet.
For small accidents on outings
A cut paw pad, a splinter, a tick, a scratch: rinse with saline, apply a sterile compress, hold it in place with the cohesive bandage. With the full version, the balm and the bootie protect the paw until you get home.
Compact, it goes everywhere with you
With its handle, it fits in a backpack, a bike bag or the boot of the car. Slip in the health record and your vet's number, as well as an emergency clinic's: you're all set for hiking, canicross, camping or holidays.
While you wait for your vet
The kit is for first aid: it does not replace a consultation. In case of a deep wound, heavy bleeding, lameness or any doubt, call your vet. The survival blanket and the cotton tie help you carry an injured dog.
First aid, wherever you go with your dog
The ELEMENT VET first aid kit goes with you on every outing with your dog: hiking, canicross, holidays, travel, or simply in the boot of the car. It brings together the essentials for first aid in everyday minor accidents, while you wait for your vet's advice.
What the kit contains
- 2 pairs of disposable gloves and bin bags
- 1 sachet of hand sanitiser gel, for your hands
- 2 single doses of antiseptic
- 5 single doses of saline
- 10 sterile compresses, 20 × 20 cm gauze and 1 10 × 12 cm compression pad
- 1 Coheban cohesive bandage and 2 crepe bandages
- 1 roll of fabric tape
- 1 pair of scissors, 1 disposable razor, 1 10 ml syringe
- 1 metal splinter tweezer and 2 O'Tom tick removers
- 1 digital thermometer
- 1 survival blanket and 1 cotton tie
- Full version only: the 50 ml paw pad repair balm and one Confort bootie, sizes XS to XL
First aid
Clean your hands with the gel and put on gloves. Rinse the wound with saline, then dab it with a compress, without rubbing. Cover with a clean compress and hold it in place with the cohesive bandage, without tightening. For a tick, use the tick remover with a twisting motion, without pulling. Keep your dog calm and warm, and call your vet.
Precautions for use
- The kit is for first aid: it does not replace a veterinary consultation.
- Never tighten a bandage: you should be able to slip a finger underneath.
- Deep wound, heavy bleeding, lameness, a listless dog: call your vet straight away.
- Check the kit's expiry dates once a year.

Pro tip
When you go out with your dog for a short hike, or on holiday, a first aid kit is essential, just like a bowl and water. Together with our advising vets, we selected the equipment for everyday first aid, and what you need to carry a dog injured in a more serious accident. We chose to add our repair balm and a bootie, in case of a cut.
