Why the EquiGroomer changes grooming
Winter coat comes off, gently
In spring, an unclipped horse loses its thick winter coat. Drawn in the direction of the hair, the micro-toothed blade catches dead hair and loose undercoat without pulling on live hair. Sensitive horses that dislike the curry comb usually accept it very well.
Back from the field, the mud comes off
Is your horse back from the field covered in mud? Let it dry, then use the brush: it lifts dried earth and dust from the coat, right down to the belly and legs. In a few minutes, the coat is clean before the saddle pad and saddle go on.
Its place in your grooming routine
Use the EquiGroomer instead of the curry comb or the sweat scraper: it loosens mud, dust and dead hair. Then use the dandy brush, followed by the body brush, to smooth the coat. The result: less hair on the saddle pad, the rugs and in the stable.
On the coat, not on the mane and tail
Use it on the neck, back, flanks, hindquarters, belly and legs, with a lighter touch on bony areas. Do not use it on the mane or tail, so as not to break the hairs. On a clipped horse, it removes dust and clipped hair.
The micro-toothed grooming brush, for shedding and mud from the field
The EquiGroomer is the American grooming brush for which ELEMENT VET is the official and exclusive reseller in France. Its micro-toothed steel blade removes dead hair, dried mud and dust from your horse's coat, without pulling on live hair. It replaces the curry comb all year round, and really comes into its own during shedding season.
Who is it for, and when
- unclipped horses, during the winter coat moult;
- horses that live out and come back covered in mud;
- sensitive horses that dislike the curry comb;
- riders who want saddle pads and rugs free of hair.
What it is
- Micro-toothed steel blade, rust-resistant coating
- Painted wooden handle, 21 cm
- 5 colours: blue, pink, natural, purple, black
- The EquiGroomer brush; also available in a 13 cm version for dogs and cats, under the name EasyGroomer
And on top of that, they are eco-friendly and colourful!
How to use
Brush a dry coat, in the direction of the hair, with the blade almost flat, using long, gentle strokes, without pressing: the micro-teeth do the work. During shedding, a short session every day; the rest of the year, at every grooming, after the field or a training session.
Care
Remove the hair from the blade after each grooming, with a flick or a cloth. If the brush is wet or muddy, rinse the blade and dry it straight away. Do not leave it to soak, to protect the wooden handle, and store it somewhere dry.
Precautions for use
- Do not brush a wound, a scab or irritated skin.
- Do not use it on the mane or tail.

Pro tip
It is a real headache to find a good brush that doesn't pull the hair or hurt the horse. When the horse comes back from training, or from the field covered in mud, dried mud and dirt come off very easily.
