How to rehydrate your dog?
A drink it wants to drink
After exercise or in hot weather, a dog does not always drink enough to make up for what it loses. With its grilled chicken flavour, Réhydratation dissolves in 250 to 500 ml of water: its taste encourages it to drink. A drink rich in electrolytes, to offer alongside its water.
The electrolytes it loses
Sodium, potassium and chlorides are the electrolytes of the body’s water balance. Dogs lose them mostly through diarrhoea or vomiting: Réhydratation provides them, with the water it needs, to help it fight dehydration, after exercise as on very hot days.
Energy to recover
Maltodextrin, which makes up 88.5% of the powder, provides quickly available carbohydrates. Given within 30 minutes after exercise, it helps rebuild the muscles’ energy reserves. Vitamin B1 contributes to normal energy metabolism.
Canicross, senior dogs, heatwaves
Canicross, agility, hunting, working dogs or long walks in hot weather: Réhydratation supports dogs that exert themselves. It also suits older dogs that drink less; if this lasts, talk to your vet. Vitamin E and selenium complete the formula.

Pro tip
I give a rehydration soup after every training session and every competition run: I dissolve one scoop per dog in 400 to 500 ml of water, with a few kibbles. My dogs recover quickly and stay well hydrated, especially as summers keep getting hotter.
