Krill Oil Omega-3 – Joints, skin and coat for dogs

Both provide marine omega-3, EPA and DHA. In krill they are bound to phospholipids, the form a dog's body absorbs best: at equal intake, veterinary studies show that krill omega-3 reach the body more than those of fish oil. And a capsule saves you measuring out a liquid oil.

Don't stop at the 500 mg of oil every capsule advertises. Look at the amount of EPA and DHA per capsule, and what your dog receives per day. Ours provides at least 88 mg of EPA and DHA per capsule, i.e. 176 mg per day for a 20 kg dog, for €0.56 a day.

1 capsule per 10 kg of body weight per day: 1 capsule from 5 to 10 kg, 2 capsules for 20 kg, 3 for 30 kg. For dogs under 5 kg, 1 capsule every other day. In some cases, your vet may advise a higher amount suited to your dog: follow their advice.

Krill is a crustacean: do not give it to a dog allergic to shellfish. If your dog is on anticoagulant treatment or is due for surgery, ask your vet. Stick to the recommended amount.
